Protestants account for just under half of all Christians in the world but are often placed in opposition to the other Catholic half. This booklet explores the roots of this split and the political and theological differences which caused it. It also looks at modern-day Protestantism, identifying the main distinctions within it and how these relate to Catholic Christianity.
