Wisdom from the Cells contains testimonies for each week of the liturgical year (specifically Cycle B, though the reflections are universally applicable) written by men in prison, many of whom are serving life sentences. They each offer a window into the pain of traumatic, shame-filled pasts and reveal the faith-filled, hope-filled, and love-filled present and future made possible by God’s mercy.
