Pope Francis has called on all consecrated men and women to 'wake up the world, since the distinctive sign of consecrated life is prophecy.' Through his writings, 'Keep Watch' examines the prophetic role of consecrated people in the life of the Church. Like Old Testament prophets, consecrated people have a unique role to read and respond to the times in which they live, building on the heritage of consecrated life as a watchful pilgrimage, lived in discipleship to Christ and guided by the Spirit.
