This post-confirmation course continues to develop the faith of young people after confirmation. It is built on three fundamental truths: a truth of faith, a truth of reality and a truth of method. There is no one-size-fits all solution. World Youth Day, pilgrimages, school retreats and diocesan events may offer young people real faith experiences, but when they return from these mountain-top moments there is often little support and encouragement to help them continue to grow in faith. Why do many young people see the Church as irrelevant to their everyday lives? Why do many drift away after confirmation? What can be done? Life is a programme rooted in the Vatican II teaching on the formation of the laity. The SEE, JUDGE, ACT model is a well-tried approach, which enables young people to discover how to live the Gospel events and circumstances in their daily lives.
